Woman in her 70s hurt during attempted robbery at Preston Bus Station

A pensioner was injured during an attempted robbery at Preston Bus Station.

Preston Police say the woman, in her 70s, received injuries to her neck and arm. Police say the injuries were thankfully not serious.

The attack and attempted robbery took place on 7 December last year.

Pictures have been released of a three women police wish to speak to in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for police said: “Though time has elapsed since the offence happened, we want to reassure you that we have been doing everything in our power to identify the three individuals in the images. Sadly, those enquiries have not proved to be successful and that is why we are now asking for your help.”

Pictures had been released but police said: “Yesterday we asked for your help identifying three individuals we would like to speak to in connection with an attempted robbery in Preston. The people pictured have now been identified, and will be spoken to in due course. Thanks to all who assisted with the appeal.”
