Non-profit charity Fedcap is providing a temporary base for The Lancashire Women Charity following their original premises being flooded.
Through the water damage of their previous Church Street venue , the local charity, Lancashire Women issued an appeal through Preston Community Network looking for a temporary home for their work.
The support of Lancashire Women has been immense over the past nearly 40 years.

Offering an in-person approach to issues such as mental health issues, money advice and general well-being checks, Lancashire Women encourages speaking up as women and regaining autonomy in any situation.
Philippa Perkin, the charityâs Group Facilitator who is running sessions in Philippa Perkin, the charityâs Group Facilitator running sessions in Preston, added: âFedcap have been such a blessing both to our team and also the women who have attended our groups.
âFor some it has been hard just to enter into a building, yet the team have been so welcoming and so supportive in making them feel comfortable.
“And for me personally, itâs been so lovely to connect with everyone, I have so enjoyed being around them.â
Fedcap, located in 26 offices in the UK and the charity that now hosts Lancashire Womenâs services whilst repairs take place, aims to deliver employability support and health and wellbeing services.
Their Preston location is located in Preston City Centre, similar to Lancashire Womenâs previous space.
They work to support the community and are âhappy to work in partnershipâ with local communities like Lancashire Women.
In addition, Fedcap offers personalised support, vocational training, and job placement services to individuals.
