An investigation is underway after the body of a man was found on a public bench in Preston.
Police were called to Plungington Road, at the junction with Aqueduct Street, just after 6am this morning (21 February) to reports a body had been found.
Emergency services attended the scene and the man was confirmed to have died. The death is being treated as unexplained, police said.

A spokesperson for police said: “We were called to Plungington Road, Preston, at 6.17am today (21 February) to reports a man had been found unresponsive on a public bench.
“Emergency services attended and confirmed the man was sadly deceased. Our thoughts are with his loved ones at this time.
“The man’s death is being treated as unexplained.”
