The Plungington has made a triumphant return to Fulwood, offering a warm and cosy atmosphere that instantly makes you feel right at home.
The recent refurbishment by Admiral Taverns costing nearly £400,000 is evident, with a professionally updated look that’s both modern and inviting.
The Plungy, in Lytham Road on the Plungington and Fulwood border, closed in 2021 after a period of regular opening and closure after a community campaign to save it.
Sports enthusiasts will appreciate the numerous televisions broadcasting live games, along with a classic dartboard for some friendly competition.
The drink prices are reasonable, catering to various tastes without breaking the bank.
What truly sets The Plungington apart is the staff’s friendliness and the overall welcoming vibe, making it a must-visit for anyone seeking a delightful pub experience in Preston.
The new landlords are Carl and Jordan Hirst, husband and wife duo, who bring more than 15 years of pub experience with them.
Speaking to Blog Preston prior to opening Carl said: “We are thrilled to be taking over The Plungington and have loved seeing the incredible transformation come to life over the past few weeks.
“The pub is already looking fantastic and we are really looking forward to welcoming back customers, both old and new.”
