A crash has caused part of New Hall Lane to be closed by police.

The stretch between the junctions of Adelaide Street and Mercer Street has been shut this evening (Tuesday 4 February).

A spokesperson for Preston Police said on X at 6.05pm: “The road will be closed for a short amount of time. We’d recommend looking for an alternative route.

“We’ll update you here once the road is open.”

Blog Preston has been made aware of reports of the air ambulance landing nearby.

Police said the road re-opened fully around 8.45pm on Tuesday (4 February).
