Last week, members of the Armed Forces and Preston City Council gathered to re-sign The Armed Forces Covenant.

It is a promise by local authorities that together they ‘acknowledge and understand that those who serve or have served in the Armed Forces, and their families, including the bereaved, should be treated with fairness and respect in the communities, economy, and society.’

Preston City Council first signed the Armed Forces Community Covenant in 2012.

The Covenant focuses on helping members of the Armed Forces community have the same access to Government and commercial services and products as any other citizen.
