Proposed resurfacing works on a busy Preston route have been postponed due to the cold weather.
With temperatures barely getting above freezing the pothole-filling work on Ribbleton Avenue has been shelved.
Lancashire County Council confirmed to Blog Preston the work due to begin on Wednesday and last for between two to five days was not taking place.

A spokesperson confirmed no new date had yet been set for the stretch of road from Longridge Road to Cromwell Road to see the resurfacing works.
Elsewhere, the county council’s highways team stepped in to order contractors on the electrical cable works in Longridge Road to up their game after long delays were caused back into Grimsargh and into Bluebell Way.
The resurfacing works in Ribbleton Avenue are due to take place at the same time as the Longridge Road works continue.
