Drivers using Ribbleton Avenue are being warned of delays as work to improve the road surface takes place.
Warning signs are up of ‘surface dressing and patching works’ from the junction with Cromwell Road in Ribbleton up to the Red Scar industrial estate.
Signs list the works as taking place from Wednesday (8 January) through to Monday (13 January) but the county council website lists a two-day pothole blitz is set to take place.

Stop-go boards will be in operation during the works which are due to take place in both directions and work their way along Ribbleton Avenue.
No parking signs are also up warning residents to ensure they have moved vehicles before work starts on Wednesday.
