A trial is expected to last up to three days and was originally due to take place in 2026 but has been brought forward under the expedited trial scheme.
It is now scheduled to take place May 6.
Storey has been at the club since 2018, having signed from Exeter City, and last week signed a new contract running until 2028.
In a statement on the club’s official website accompanying the announcement of the deal, manager Paul Heckingbottom said: “Jordan’s a good lad as well so I’m looking forward to working with him more and seeing him continue to develop.”
