The Flower Bowl Entertainment Centre in Preston is teaming up with Lytham International Film Festival to launch a new season of independent film nights.

Cinemagoers will be able to enjoy a varied selection of the best short films from around the world at the events.

Each film screening will be followed by an exclusive Q&A with an industry professional.

The indie film nights will take place at the cinema in Garstang Road, Brock, on the last Tuesday of each month, with the first being held on Tuesday 28 January.

Lytham International Film Festival’s Ed Greenberg said: “This is a fantastic event for anyone with a love of great storytelling.

“These films have all been recognised at global festivals and have helped progress and launch the careers of top talent in the industry.

“We are also particularly keen to support and promote local film makers and creatives.”

Tickets to each event cost £12 and visitors can also enjoy a special offer of a hot drink and cake for £5 from Oasis Café Bar.

The Flower Bowl’s cinema manager Sarah Miller said: “We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Lytham International Film Festival to offer audiences the chance to experience film making at its finest on the big screen.

“It’s a unique opportunity as these films generally aren’t on public release or available to a wide audience.”
