A man in his 30s has died in hospital after a collision last week.
Police were called at around 8.30pm last Friday (24 January) to reports of a crash between a van and a cyclist on the A6 at Catterall.
The road was closed between The Avenue and Old Lancaster Road while emergency services attended the scene and police later confirmed the cyclist had been taken to hospital in a critical condition. The driver of the van stopped at the scene.

The man has now died in hospital, police have confirmed as they continue to appeal for information.
A spokesperson for police said: “The cyclist, a man in his 30s very sadly died in hospital yesterday morning. Our thoughts remain with his loved ones at this incredibly distressing time.
“They are being supported by specially trained Family Liaison Officers.
“We’re continuing to appeal for any information that could assist our enquiries, or any CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch.”
