A man has been charged with two counts of assault – one on a police officer – after an incident in Deepdale.
Terry Williamson, of St George’s Road, was arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm and common assault after reports of an assault on the same road.
He was later arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.

Williamson was then charged with assault of an emergency worker and assault by beating and has been bailed to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court on 21 January.
A spokesperson for police said: “We received a report of an assault on St George’s Road, Preston, at 9:24pm yesterday (2nd January).
“Officers attended and a 50-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm and common assault.
“He was later arrested on suspicion of assaulting a police officer.
“Terry Williamson, 50, of St George’s Road, was later charged with assault of an emergency worker, and assault by beating.
“He was bailed to appear at Preston Magistrates’ Court on 21st January 2025.”
