A man who attempted to break into houses in Chorley after travelling by taxi from Yorkshire has been jailed for 27 months.
Jordan May, 23, tried to burgle three homes on Haydock Drive, Alexander Close, and Lighthurst Lane.
He then stole a car from outside a house on Chester Avenue in the early hours of 15 November 2023. All of which happened in the space of two-and-a-half hours.

The homes were in the same area of Chorley. May was one of two men who tried the door handle of one of the addresses and tried to burn a door lock at two of the others.
Lancashire Police found he had called a taxi in Leeds and travelled to Blackburn. A second taxi was then booked from Blackburn to Chorley.
The car which Jordan stole in Chorley was then seen heading back towards Blackburn.
May, of no fixed address, appeared for sentence at Leeds Crown Court this week after previously pleading guilty to three charges of attempted burglary and theft of a vehicle.
