Lawnmower, TV and Christmas presents taken during Ribbleton break-ins

Christmas presents, a lawnmower and a TV have been taken during two burglaries in Ribbleton.

Preston Police say they have a 51-year-old man in custody following two burglaries in November and December.

Police were called to Morris Crescent, off Ribbleton Avenue, on 5 November following reports someone had entered the property and taken a TV and lawnmower.

In a second incident, on 19 December, a house in nearby Moorcroft Crescent was targeted.

During the early hours of the morning a glass door was smashed while people slept upstairs. Cash and Christmas presents were taken.

A 51-year-old Preston man was arrested during Thursday (9 January) on suspicion of burglary in a dwelling and is in custody waiting to be questioned.
