Fog patches may cause travel disruption in Preston tomorrow morning, according to a new warning from the Met Office.

A yellow weather warning for fog is in place for Preston, and the wider North West, from midnight until 11am tomorrow morning (22 January).

The warning states that there is a chance of slower journey times and delays to bus and train services, as well as a chance of delays or cancellations to flights, as a result.

A spokesperson for the Met Office said: “Fog patches are expected to develop overnight and during Wednesday morning before gradually clearing through Wednesday.

“Fog will bring visibility to below 100m at times, perhaps causing some travel disruption.”

The warning comes before a yellow weather warning for wind for Preston on Friday (24 January) associated with Storm Éowyn hitting the UK.
