Dog found by police wandering alone in freezing temperatures

Police are appealing to trace the owner of a dog found in Hoghton.

Lancashire Police say the brown and white dog – a lurcher-type breed – was discovered near Blackburn Old Road.

The dog was found during the early hours of Friday (10 January) in freezing temperatures with lows of -5 recorded overnight in rural areas around Preston.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 0132 of 10/01/2025.
