Delays have been experienced along Bluebell Way and Longridge Road as work begins on the next stage of laying an underground cable.,

The Harlaxton Energy Services works have moved from Bluebell Way itself into Longridge Road close to the Roman Way industrial estate.

Three-way temporary traffic lights are in place with traffic queueing back into the industrial estates and onto the Bluebell Way junction, and back towards Grimsargh at peak times.

The temporary traffic lights have gone up during Monday (6 January) and are due to be in place until 14 February.

Roadworks are needed to install a high voltage electrical supply to a new development in Roman Way.

Once the Longridge Road works finish a next set of works in Roman Way itself begins from 17 February to 14 March.

Harlaxton says the traffic lights are being manually monitored to try and reduce delays.

Around 1pm on Monday traffic was queued back to the roundabout by the James Hall headquarters and Spar services along Bluebell Way.
