An investigation has been launched by police after a call about a burglary led to the discovery of a significant cannabis grow.
Police were called to Moor Hall Street this morning (17 January) after reports of a burglary.
Four men had reportedly smashed the front door in before leaving in a White Transit van. The van was later found on Lightfoot Lane with eight bags of cannabis on board.

Officers at the property on Moor Hall Street found that two rooms and the attic contained around 100 cannabis plants. They have been seized.
No arrests have been made but enquiries are ongoing, police said.
A spokesperson for police said: “Operation Warrior is Lancashire Police’s response to tackling serious and organised crime in Lancashire, supported by Police and Crime Commissioner Clive Grunshaw.
“It aims to target the individuals and gangs involved in crime, as well as associated issues such as violence and intimidation, large scale drug supply, exploitation, and fraud, all of which can cause serious harm to local communities.”
