Jonny and Luis from Winckley Street Ale House

Jonny Yates and Luis Dore from Winckley Street Ale House in Preston shaved their heads in order to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support

Two years ago Luis had testicular cancer and Macmillan gave him a lot of support and help through his treatment and surgery.

Luis wanted to give something back to Macmillan so alongside the Movember challenge he joined with Chain House Brewing Company to brew a beer.

It was called ‘Right, where is it?’ and 30p per sold pint was donated.

Luis said: “When it came to Movember to do with men’s mental health and testicular cancer I wanted to raise a bit of awareness for it and give a bit back to Macmillan.”

Doing Movember alongside him was his friend and co-worker Jonny who came up with the idea of shaving his head in support of his friend and to add to the money raised from Movember.

When seeing Jonny get his hair shaved off during the live shaving in the bar on Tuesday evening, Luis knew he had to do it to.

Jonny said: “My member of staff and good friend Luis had testicular cancer and Macmillan gave him a lot of support so I just wanted to do a good thing for him.”

So far they have donated over £1000 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

You can donate to the pair’s efforts on their Justgiving page.
