Preston Drama Club will present a story of blackmail and murder at the Playhouse next month.

Something to Hide is a thriller from the prolific pen of stage and TV writer Leslie Sands. The play is filled with twists and red herrings, and will leave you guessing until the very end.

Directed by Dennis Yardley, Something to Hide is set in the country getaway home of successful novelist Howard Holt, who is visited each weekend by his wife and publisher Karen.

Karen arrives unexpectedly, late one evening. She is distraught having apparently killed a young woman by driving over her in the darkness, in the lane outside. Howard agrees to help her dispose of the body.

Then follows a sequence of events in which one unexpected turn follows another, as a seemingly gullible police inspector appears to accept the story cooked up by Howard and his wife.

Something to Hide will be performed at Preston Playhouse in Market Street West from Wednesday 15 to Saturday 18 January.

Priced at £12 for adults and £11 for concessions, tickets are available via the Preston Playhouse website.
