Christmas trees can be collected and raise funds for charity at the same time.
If you’re already plotting the downfall of your pine-based friend from the living room then the Rotary Club of Longridge and North Preston can help.
Their collection takes place on Saturday 11 January 2025 and sees hundreds of trees taken away.

The trees are repurposed to prevent coastal erosion and create wildlife habitats.
An articulated lorry is regularly filled with trees thanks to the Rotary collection.
Areas covered include Longridge, Goosnargh, Grimsargh, Barton, Knowle Green, Cottam, Woodplumpton, Fulwood, Broughton and Ribchester.
A suggested donation of £10 per tree is suggested and you are asked to book a collection via the Rotary club’s website.
