Man in his 60s left with serious injuries after being hit by bus on New Hall Lane

A man in his 60s was left with serious – but not life-threatening – injuries after being struck by a bus on New Hall Lane.

Police were called at 7.40am today (3 December) to reports of a collision on New Hall Lane.

Officers found that a bus and a pedestrian had been involved in the collision.

The man was taken to hospital with serious head and chest injuries. Police are now appealing for witnesses.

A spokesperson for police said: “The pedestrian, a man in his 60s, suffered serious head and chest injuries, but thankfully the injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

“As part of our investigation, we are asking for any witnesses or anyone driving in the area who has dashcam footage, to contact us.”
