Hyundai Tuscon raided by police after driver stopped heading north on M6

A man was arrested after over £100,000 worth of cannabis was found in his boot.

Officers stopped at Hyundai Tuscon travelling north on the M6 at the Tickled Trout services in Preston at junction 31. This was at around 3.30pm on Tuesday (3 December).

They searched the vehicle and found a large amount of cannabis in the boot with an estimated street value of £126,000.

The driver, a 50-year-old man from Hamilton in Scotland, was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class B drugs. The Hyundai was also seized.

The man remains in custody.
