The fifth Christmas light switch-on at Heaton Mount Avenue, Fulwood has commenced and the road near Royal Preston Hospital is a dazzling display.
On Sunday, December 1st, more than two hundred visitors attended Simon and Denise Hodge’s home in time for their Christmas light switch-on.
Their Christmas light display is in aid of CancerHelp Preston, a charity with Cancer Support Houses in Ribbleton and Garstang.

Denise, one of the organisers of the event told Blog Preston: “I am a breast cancer survivor and Vine House helped me immensely.
“They are a fabulous local charity who do amazing work.”
Councillor for Sharoe Green ward, Connor Dwyer and Mayor of Preston, Councillor Phil Crowe attended the switch on event.
Cllr Dwyer said: “Thank you so much to Denise and Simon who organise this every year and put in so much effort to support CancerHelp- your work is incredible and so many are grateful for your support.”
This year, it has been described as “bigger and better than ever,” with the introduction of the Bridle Bar for refreshments, tombola and decorated lights bottles for sale.
The lights are said to be on every day until the New Year.
