A road at Preston Docks is closed this evening after a motorbike struck a lamppost, Blog Preston understands.

Police were called to the scene at Navigation Way at around 3.48pm this evening (8 December) to reports of a one-vehicle collision.

Navigation Way is closed from the junction with Portway to the Swing Bridge as a result, with police warning that they expect the road to be closed for some time.

The air ambulance is in attendance.

A spokesperson for police said: “We’re currently at the scene of a road closure on Navigation Way from the junction with Port Way to Preston Dock Swing Bridge in Ashon-on-Ribble, Preston.

“The road is closed due to a road traffic collision and we anticipate this will be closed for some time.

“We’ll provide an update once cleared and thank you in advance for your patience.”
