Uber driver racially-abused and car briefly hijacked after pick-up from hotel

An Uber driver was reportedly racially-abused and his car briefly taken in an incident in October.

The Uber driver collected four people, three men and a woman, from Guy’s Thatched Hamlet in Bilsborrow at around 1.17am on Friday, 4 October.

The Uber was heading towards Preston along the A6 with the passengers but stopped after a short distance with the passengers ejected.

The driver also left the vehicle before a person got into the driver’s seat and drove for around 10 metres.
