A shopping centre in Preston city centre has marked the opening of its Garden of Remembrance.
St George’s Shopping Centre welcomed the Mayor of Preston councillor Phil Crowe and Reverend Cameron Mullett for a Remembrance service.
Located in the centre of the shopping centre’s ground floor – close to Matalan – shoppers paused as veterans made their way into the centre.

The standard bearers, bugler and veterans were led by Michael Nutter formerly of the Scots Guards during the service on Saturday (2 November) lunchtime.
A poppy stall will be at the Garden of Remembrance throughout the next week and a half.
It is manned by volunteer Russell Hodson who has undertaken the task for the past 15 years.
