A pensioners dance group in Preston, which has been bringing people together since 1996, are looking for more people to join them.
The group, of around 10 over 65 year olds, meet every Wednesday at the Catherine Beckett Community Centre on Deepdale Road.
Jack and his wife Erica have been running the group since 1996.

She said: “This used to be full. It was a good crowd and a social afternoon.
“I’ve always danced, everything from ballroom to jiving. When Jack and I met he couldn’t dance at all, look at him now! I remember when we got married, we danced in the Blackpool Tower Ballroom all day, it was so special.
“When we both retired we wanted to do something together, we tried walking, swimming, bowling.
“Now, we come here every week.”
After the Covid-19 pandemic, numbers dwindled from around 30 people to just 10, so the group are looking for others to join them.
One of the members, a 96 year old, says it is a ‘lifeline’ for her.
She said: “It keeps my brain active and it’s an excuse to get dressed up!
“Lots of the other dance classes are in the evening and I’m too tired then. This one helps me get out during the day.”

The group does a variety of dances, nothing too difficult. They all copy Jack and Ericha’s dance moves.
Catherine Beckett’s do not charge for the use of the room, however, the dancers ask for a small fee to fund the tea, coffee and biscuits which they enjoy.
The break, halfway through the two hour session, gives them a chance to socialise.

The Catherine Beckett Community Centre has big plans for the place. They are aiming to get funding to completely transform the building.
Once the works are complete, they hope to host more events and classes such as this for everyone.
