Preston’s gardeners are being reminded brown bin collections are pausing for a month.
The garden waste bins, which cost £40-a-year for residents to receive fortnightly collections, are not being picked up over the Christmas period.
Preston City Council say final collections take place on Friday 13 December and do not resume until Monday 13 January.

All other bin collections take place as usual apart from on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Year’s Day.
The city council says it will provide information to those who usually have their black bin and recycling bins collected on a Wednesday or a Thursday in the coming weeks with alternative collection dates.
