The crash took place around 4.25pm on the Friday.

A police spokesperson told Blog Preston: “A car and a motorbike were involved in a collision.

“The motorbiker has suffered injuries but they are not thought to be serious.”

Delays are back to Junction 3 at Kirkham.

The M55 was fully re-opened at 6.42pm on Friday.

There’s also been reports of a crash at Junction 2 within the Edith Rigby Way roundabout – although police said there were no details showing of a crash and they understood it was congestion due to drivers trying to leave the M55 before reaching Junction 1.
