Longridge country house hotel and wedding venue Ferrari’s is under new ownership.

Having been owned and run by the Ferrari family for the past 29 years, it has been sold to Manchester-based Elle R Leisure.

The new owners said they have big plans for the well-loved venue, including renaming it as Longridge House.

In a statement on the Ferrari’s Facebook page, new owner Lucy McCarthy, who runs Elle R Leisure alongside her brother and sister, spoke of their vision for the venue.

She said: “We have been lucky enough to take over the gorgeous Ferrari’s Country House from the Ferrari family, who, as you know, have lovingly run the beautiful venue for an astounding 29 years.

“We hope to follow in their footsteps by becoming part of the community and look forward to meeting you all soon.

“The Ferrari family will continue to host pre-booked events leading up to Christmas. After this time, the venue will be closed for around four months. When we reopen, we would love to invite you all to a Locals’ Launch Party in Spring 2025 – more details to follow soon.”

And Lucy added that along with plans to modernise the venue, she confirmed the name change.

She added: “Understandably, we cannot use the Ferrari family name, so the venue will now be known as Longridge House. There will be beautifully updated spaces across our restaurant, bar, bedrooms and private dining rooms – ready to host all types of events and celebrations.”

A family-run company with roots in the Manchester area, Elle R Leisure own a series of other venues including Woodlands Hotel in Leeds; Soughton Hall in North Wales; Albert’s Restaurants in Didsbury, Worsley and Standish; Dukes 92 in Manchester; The Castlefield Rooms in Manchester; and Hello Hotels.
