They raised more than £800 through sponsorships from their friends, family and colleagues.

The money will go towards supporting people building back from homelessness in Preston.

Danielle Jeffries, Amazon Logistics Shift Manager in Leyland, said: “Our team had a great time on the zipline, helping raise funds for a very worthy cause. We are proud to be supporting the valuable work Emmaus Preston does in our local community.”

The Amazon delivery station in Leyland teamed up with Emmaus to deliver career insights and practical interview tips in a series of workshops for people supported by the charity. The Amazon team also welcomed people being supported by Emmaus for a behind-the-scenes tour of the delivery station.

Stephen Buchanan, Emmaus Preston’s Chief Executive Officer, said: “We’re incredibly grateful to the Amazon Leyland team for their support. The funds raised mean a great deal for Emmaus’ work with our residents, helping people access the resources and opportunities they need to rebuild their lives.

“The tour and mock interviews were also hugely beneficial in helping people recognise the opportunities that are available as Emmaus helps people with the next steps in their journeys.”
