Los Fastidios will play the Conti next week

Italian streetska and punk band Los Fastidios are set to take the stage at The Continental in Broadgate.

The gig will take place on Thursday 7 November, with support from Litterbug and Sally Pepper.

Formed in Verona in 1991 and led by Enrico – a well-known figure of the punk rock and ska scene and founder of the independent label KOB Records – Los Fastidios are known for their powerful melodic mix of 80s British Punk-Oi!, ska, reggae, rock ‘n’ roll, hardcore rhythms and pop.

Sung in Italian with touches of English, French, Spanish, and German, the band’s lyrics range from cheerful street situations to deep social issues, including anti-racism, animal rights, and anti-capitalism themes.

Over the years, Los Fastidios have supported various initiatives and social causes, performing at gigs for workers’ rights and against war and neoliberalism.

Since 2019, Elisa Dixan, previously the band’s tour manager, has joined Los Fastidios as a regular guest on stage.

During lockdown in 2020, Los Fastidios kept the music alive by recording 12 acoustic tracks, which later became the album From Lockdown to the World.

The current lineup sees Enrico on vocals, Filippo ‘Bibol’ on guitar, Ciacio on bass, Nicolò ‘Bacchetta’ on drums and Elisa Dixan on special guest vocals.

Los Fastidios play The Conti on Thursday 7 November from 8pm. It’s a standing show and tickets are £12 advance from Skiddle, or £15 on the door.
