Preston’s Hindu Temple celebrated Diwali with the community and their stakeholders in ceremonies across last weekend.
BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir on Pramukh Swami Place, near Gerrard Street, hosted a gathering to express gratitude to their community for their unwavering support and commitment to local faith centres.
As part of the event, they explored the themes of unity, harmony, and peace.

Their guests also took part in building a symbolic bridge inspired by the Ram Setu, embracing the values of unity, faith, and perseverance.
Each person made a personal pledge to “build bridges,” whether by fostering understanding across differences, promoting unity, or nurturing tolerance and respect.
Dr Kailash Parekh, MBE said: “It was inspiring to witness the sense of togetherness and the shared dedication to strengthening bonds within our diverse community.
“Thank you to everyone who joined us. Your energy and commitment make all the difference!
“We can’t wait to see you all again next year to celebrate together.”
