Do you know a Proud Prestonian who has done something amazing during 2024?

In partnership with the organisers of the Christmas Lights Switch On, Preston BID, we are seeking nominations for someone to switch on the city’s Christmas lights.

We want to celebrate a person who’s a great community champion, and flies the flag for Preston.

The Switch On Star will also be rewarded with:

  • Two tickets for the Switch On sponsors reception
  • Two tickets to One Night in Dublin at The Guild Lounge on Friday 13 December
  • A £50 voucher for a meal for two from Bistrot Pierre

The free Switch On event takes place on Saturday 23 November from 5.30pm, and will feature a packed show with a number of artists and celebrities.

The Switch On Star winner will be invited on stage to speak to the event’s presenters in front of a huge home crowd, before helping to light up their city.

Last year’s competition was won by Leyland lad and ambassador for autism Jake Ogden.

Nominations close on Wednesday 13 November. Please ask permission from the person you are nominating, as they must be available to attend the event.

If the form doesn’t appear below then visit the Switch On Star nomination form.
