Handy city centre ginnel re-opens as Animate work continues

A popular city centre cut-through route has been reopened after being closed off during building work.
The ginnel between the city’s Market Hall and the Ringway has fencing removed meaning the walkway is useable again.
It was closed off during the Animate cinema works which have now finished the build phase.

Sheridan’s Bags – who operate in the Market Hall – took to X to celebrate the news.
The new Animate cinema and leisure complex is expected to be open from Spring 2025.
