As the darker nights draw in, a free public lecture at the University of Central Lancashire will discuss how important light and colour are in our lives.
The enlightening talk from lecturer Leona Nicholas will explore changes you can make to your own spaces to be both happier and healthier.
Leona, Course Leader on the University’s BA (Hons) Interior Design programme, has more than 20 years’ experience in the commercial design industry.

Leona said: “As the days get shorter and we spend more time indoors, the impact that natural light has on our health and wellbeing becomes increasingly obvious.
“My talk will discuss some of the downsides to our indoor lives, such as Seasonal Affective Disorder and problems sleeping; and some advice on how to pick the right lighting for your homes.”
Light and Colour in Your Life takes place on Thursday 7 November in the University’s Foster Lecture Theatre 3, inside Foster Building.
The lecture starts at 6pm and a moderated question and answer session follows at 7pm.
Free tickets can be booked via Eventbrite.
