Deepdale Road re-opens as person taken to hospital after being rescued from under a vehicle

Deepdale Road has re-opened after a person and a bus were involved in a crash.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service say they rescued someone from underneath a vehicle during Tuesday (19 November) evening.

The road was shut between the St George’s Road junction and Burrow Road turn shortly after 6pm.

Preston Police were at the scene for around four hours, with fire crews on scene for two hours.

Three crews from Preston and Penwortham, supported by an urban search and rescue team, rescued ‘one casualty’ who was ‘extricated from under a vehicle’. The person was taken to hospital, the extent of their injuries is not yet known.

Blog Preston understands a bus and a pedestrian were involved in the collision close to the Preston Bus depot in Deepdale Road.

The road re-opened shortly before 10pm on Tuesday evening.
