Neighbours have told of the ‘scary’ moments when a gas explosion ripped through a terraced property in Deepdale.
Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service sent crews to Gillett Street during Saturday evening after the blast.
A man in his 40s was taken to hospital with burns injuries where he remains. It is understood his injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.

One resident who lives nearby told Blog Preston: “It was scary but police and that were here quick and we’re all alright.
“Everyone’s just hoping the bloke is ok and that’s all that matters really.”
A small number of neighbouring properties were evacuated by emergency services following the gas explosion shortly after 10.30pm on Saturday 2 November.
Preston Police have a cordon in place in a section of Gillett Street close to Curwen Street and an investigation into the blast continues in the Deepdale and St Matthews area.
There is significant damage to the front and rear of the house.
Engineers from Cadent Gas also remained at the scene during Sunday afternoon.
A police spokesperson said: “A joint investigation will be launched in due course with our colleagues from the Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service to establish the cause and circumstances that led to the suspected gas explosion.”
