Man in his 50s dies after collapsing in Fulwood street

A man has died in hospital after collapsing in a busy Fulwood road.

Emergency services were called to Watling Street Road at the junction with Sharoe Green Road during Tuesday (1 October) afternoon.

Police closed off the row of shops, around 5.15pm, at the junction after reports a man had collapsed.

A man, in his 50s, was taken to hospital. Preston Police confirmed he was pronounced dead at hospital.

His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file is being passed to the coroner.
