Watch as fireworks light up Preston city centre for Encounter Festival

Preston city centre was lit up by a dazzling fireworks display during Saturday evening.

As part of the Encounter Festival the colours were captured by photographer Mark McNeil in this drone footage.

Taking to the skies it shows the city centre lit up by the fireworks.

The fireworks marked the end of the first day of the two-day celebration of arts and culture events spread across city centre outdoor spaces and pop-up venues.

Saturday finished with the now annual torchlight procession working its way from Moor Park to the Flag Market – finishing with a bang.
