A thunderstorm warning has been issued covering Preston and Lancashire throughout Sunday (1 September).
The month could be set for a stormy start as the Met Office warn to thunderstorms sweeping in.
The yellow weather warning – the lowest alert level – runs from 4am today through to midnight.

The warning states: “Whilst many places will miss them, thunderstorms may cause flooding and disruption in places on Sunday.
“Spray and sudden flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures.”
The thunderstorm warning has been extended to run through all of Monday (2 September).
Weather forecasts for Preston show a settled start to Sunday with light winds before rain potentially begins to arrive around 4pm.
Temperatures are set to be around 19 to 20 degrees.
