‘Severe delays’ between Hutton and Longton due to crash

There’s major delays building after a crash on the route between Longton and Hutton.

South Ribble Police say Liverpool Road has severe congestion due to the crash in Liverpool Road between Longton and Hutton.

It is not known if the road is shut at this time. Two vehicles are involved in the crash – and no one is thought to be hurt.

The crash took place around 3pm on Friday (13 September).

A police spokesperson said: “We anticipate that the road will be congested for some time. In the meantime, we’d recommend looking for an alternative route.”
