Three boys from Preston have won the national 3 V 3 football tournament at St Georgeās Park at Burton upon Trent.
After winning the regional competition in Manchester at Christmas, three boys under-12 from Preston and one from Wigan qualified for the national finals.
It was hosted at St Georgeās Park, the English Football Association’s national football centre, with the majority of elite coaching and medical courses delivered onsite.

The finals took place on Friday 31 August, with Max Hartley, Jake Nicholas, Callum Tennant and Adam Kaczmarek travelling down to compete.
The boys took part in eight matches against other regional winners from across the country.
Despite feeling a ālittle nervousā on arrival, all four āacquitted themselves superbly,ā winning all of their games.

They lifted the trophy and were declared UK National 3 v 3 Champions, each walking away with a trophy each.
The format of the 3 V 3 game gives players more touches of the ball and decisions to make, with the rules making the competition fast and keeping them involved.
