Preston North End will host Arsenal at Deepdale in the next round of the Carabao Cup.

Fixture date, kick-off time and ticket details have not yet been confirmed but it is likely the club will have a specific plan to tackle high demand for the fixture.

PNE have not faced Arsenal since 2017 in a 2-1 FA Cup defeat that saw Callum Robinson score and Aidan McGeady in borderline unplayable form.

Arsenal progressed to the fourth round after a 5-1 demolition job over Bolton Wanderers while North End have gotten past Sunderland, Harrogate Town and pipped Fulham after a historic penalty shoot-out.

Despite the dominance of a small handful of sides over the last decade or so, Preston North End and Arsenal remain the only two clubs in professional English football to have gone a full season without defeat.
