A man in his 60s was left with serious injuries after a crash in Hoghton.
Police were called at 4.35pm on Friday (30 August) to reports a a KTM 1290 Super Duke motorbike had collided with a stationary and unoccupied Audi TT on Blackburn Old Road close to the Boar’s Head.
The motorcyclist was left with serious injuries and is in hospital in a stable condition. The road was closed for several hours while investigations took place.

Police are now appealing for witnesses.
Sgt Phil Baxendale. from Lancashire Constabulary’s Road Policing Unit, said: “This collision has left a man with some very serious injuries and work is ongoing to establish exactly what has occurred.
“I would ask that anyone with information or CCV, doorbell, dashcam or mobile phone footage which could assist our investigation contacts the police as soon as possible.”
