Lane shut on M6 between Garstang and Preston due to ‘stranded vehicle’

A stranded vehicle in the outside lane of the M6 is causing major delays towards Preston.

National Highways North West is reporting delays of at least 30 minutes between Junction 33 and Junction 32 southbound.

The vehicle – a Range Rover – is in the third lane just beyond Junction 33 of the M6 for Garstang.

The delays are expected until early evening on Sunday.

It follows earlier delays on the same section following a car on fire on the hard shoulder.
