Despite the weather, thousands of people still descended on Preston’s Moor Park to catch a glimpse of celebrities performing in the city on Sunday (8 September) for BBC Radio 2 in the Park.
The downpour saw the festival site turn into a mud bath, but this did not stop people dancing in the rain.
The majority, dressed in ponchos, wellies and waterproofs did not let the weather get in the way. While some left the site early due to the conditions, others stayed until the very end to watch headline act, Pet Shop Boys, perform in Preston.

Haircut 100 kicked off the entertainment, with Shed Seven, Delta Goodrem, Gabrielle, Paul Heaton, Sister Sledge and Manic Street Preachers following before ending with Pet Shop Boys.
Radio 2 DJs including Vernon Kay, Rylan Clark and Scott Mills also took to the stage.
