Singer-songwriter Shaznay Lewis followed, treating the crowd to her soulful voice. A glittery Pixie Lott brought her mix of pop and soul to the stage next – after previously having been dressed up as ‘Specialized Security’ – plus a surprise package in the form of BBC Radio 2 DJ Rylan.
British R&B singer Craig David got the crowd going with his smooth vocals and chart-topping hits like Fill Me In, before iconic 1980s pop star Kim Wilde arrived to keep the high-energy party going.
Rock band Snow Patrol delivered an atmospheric set to an impressive visual backdrop, and then it was time for Sugababes to deliver their catchy pop including the much-loved About You Now.
The evening came to close with legendary British musician Sting wowing the crowd with his distinctive voice and classic hits such as Message in a Bottle.
