The first ever Goosnargh Farmers Market Food Festival managed to raise £330 for a local charity.

The charity raffle raised the amount for Heartbeat which is the North West’s leading cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation charity.

Organisers have thanked those who came along after nearly all vendors were reported to have sold out.

They said: “What an incredible day.

“The very first Goosnargh Farmers Market Food Festival was an overwhelming success! Nearly all our vendors sold out, and we are beyond grateful to everyone who came out to support the event. So much time and effort went into making it happen, and seeing such a fantastic turnout left us truly moved.

“We raised £330 on our charity raffle which was donated to a locals charity heartbeat. This charity is close our hearts as a team. On behalf of the Goosnargh Markets team, we want to say a heartfelt thank you for your incredible support!”

The Goosnargh Markets team has now announced that they are organising a Christmas market.

You will be able to get your festive supplies from the event which is scheduled for Saturday 7 December and will run from 11am to 6pm at the Whittingham & Goosnargh Sports and Social Club.
